1 - We are an Open Source and people can download our repo. Do you consider that a user? would affect the price ? What do you consider a user ?

2 - The first three users will always be free ?

3 - Do we have any content download limits?

4 - If we migrate our repo to yours we have to pay for that action ?

But unfortunately I can't get it to work. When I add the -ep parameter I get an error message telling me my license is not valid. When I remove the -ep parameter, I can use text comparison/merge but that's not what I wanted to test. I already have got a good tool for that.

Does that mean that the trial license does not support external parsers?

I downloaded and installed semanticmerge app for mac.

Tried to start it for 2-way merge:

 $ /Applications/semanticmerge.app/Contents/MacOS/semanticmerge -s can_dcan.c -d can_ecan.c

App came up with "semanticmerge license information" dialog, saying

"“Your license does not support this language. Please get a trial license or purchase a new one.”

Clicked on button "Get Trial"

App returned a popup saying “Get license not succeeded”

So, how can I get the trial license?

My machine ID is 2610072b39a98de27bff5f24492c4811

I'm trying to use your product, but when trying to use a trial account, I get the error as shown in the attachment.

If I press Ok and continue without a license I cannot do anything, and your product keeps saying I cannot save because I do not have a license.

I have to uninstall and reinstall the product in order to get back at the license dialog...

we're planning ty buy some SemanticMerge licenses for our Java development Team.

Some questions:

Can we add another languages to existing (Java only) licenses (e.g. .NET and C++) in the future?

And do we need to shift all licencses to the same Level or can we create different bundles, e.g.:

5 x Java only

5 x Java and .NET

5 x .NET and C++

???

Are future software and language updates still included with the perpetual license?

I am getting an intresting error when trying to save a  file with semantic merge: License is corrupt please contact support.

I though it's somth to do with me gettig blue screens (don't ask i just do). So i tried to enter the licese informaiton again. By entering license key i get: The licese was not correctly installed. 

So i reinstalled semantic merge and tried again to enter the licese informaiton ....guess what same error

Any ideas?

I tried multiple times, re-installed Semantic merge and still it crashes even after clicking "Get Trial" button.

I've purchased a license a while ago and never really got it fully set up until now, except for this issue. =/

I was able to uncheck the option for the extended trial and continue without issue, but figured I should let someone know in case it wasn't something specific to my account or you weren't aware of the issue.

I am trying to obtain a trial license for semantic merge, but I keep getting an error when trying to get the license.

It seems that the webservice is not responding correctly. I have attached an image of the error message.

By the way this happens both when requesting the 15- and 30-day trial.

However for the life of me, I can't figure out how to use that license on my Laptop (which I use during work travels). My understanding is that license are per user basis and not per machine basis. 

I don't see anywhere I can generate a new license for my second machine. All I get is an option to buy a new license.

I am pretty sure I am missing something obvious, but for the life of me I can't figure it out. Help.

I have the choice of .Net (c# vb) languages of Java.

I guessed C would be in .Net but it's not working, not even fallbacking to the text merge.

In "END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR CODICE SOFTWARE PRODUCTS" in trial-version installer we can read:

4.2.    The Products shall only be used in the CPUs, where they have been initially installed.

So is it limited to a single PC?

I notice that the license for Semantic Merge is locked to a machine id.

I tried buying a license for the PC at a client site, but cannot proceed to the checkout page due to the corporate firewall interfering.

Is there any way I can buy a license from a different machine (I can use my own offsite PC), but specify the machine id for the corporate machine?

I notice the machine id is URL-encoded into the webpage brought up by Semantic Merge, but I'm not confident that manually editing the machine ID from a browser URL being viewed on a different machine is the way to go. :-)

Better yet, is there any kind of floating license I can purchase?

I have been using SemanticMerge for several months while it was still in beta phase.  I received an email on the 15th October saying "According to our records you have a valid SemanticMerge FREE license so you can update for free :-)."  As my license that I used during the beta phase has now expired I would like to get a new license, which I thought would be free.  When I log into my account I cannot see how to update the license without paying a fee.  Have I misunderstood the email?
